Over 750 Easter Eggs donated to Compassion in Action’s Easter Project

Thanks to the continued belief and support in Compassion in Action’s annual Easter Project, a total of 753 children received Easter Eggs this April.

We have, once again, been overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters – including the staff, players and fans of Leigh Leopards, and customers at Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, ASDA and Tesco, as well as multiple local businesses.

“Easter is a time of hope,” said our Founder & CEO Pam Gilligan. “Thanks to the extraordinary response of the Leigh community, we have been able to bring that message to our most vulnerable families.

‘From individual eggs gifted by our amazing veterans to mass donations from the companies who back us year in, year out, we appreciate each and every contribution to a Project that has our ‘Heart & Soul’ at its centre.”

Chocolate eggs were also delivered to the children’s wards at Royal Bolton Hospital and Wigan Infirmary for young people receiving urgent care over the Easter period.

“We are so grateful to everyone who supports our work, which is guided by our mission: ‘Heartprints of love… Meeting the needs of the people’,” added Pam.
