Easter egg donations welcomed for vulnerable families in Leigh
Compassion in Action (CIA) are once again inviting egg donations for their annual Easter Project, which is now in its fifteenth year.
Vulnerable families who have been referred to the charity by local partner agencies will receive an egg for each child during a delivery effort that is set to take place during Easter Week.
“Year on year, with the belief and support of our wonderful community, partners and patrons – including staff, players and fans at Leigh Leopards – we ensure that the Easter Bunny does not forget our vulnerable local families,” said our CEO Pam Gilligan.
“Every chocolate egg donated is received with heartfelt thanks and passed on to young people in need, as part of our commitment to whole-person care. This annual project has been close to my heart since the early days of this charity, and the amazing effort of everyone involved proves we are ‘Stronger Together’.”
Individuals or businesses who wish to support the project are asked to drop off Easter eggs at any of the following locations:
- ASDA Leigh Supercentre, Windermere Road, Leigh
- Compassion in Action, Patrick House, 58 Leigh Road, Leigh
- Costa Coffee, Gerard Centre, Ashton-in-Makerfield
