Community

We focus on the needs of vulnerable individuals who may be feeling isolated and socially excluded. Our aim is to provide a place where these individuals can come together and join in with activities that will help them to build the skills and confidence to reintegrate back into the community.

What We Do

Community Groups

As a member of our community, why not get involved and join us for regular free activities such as bingo, reading groups and art classes. Groups are welcome to use our function room for different events and activities. Please contact us on 01942 418830 or alternatively email kirsty.andrews@compassioninaction.info to arrange to hire our facilities.

Community Café

Open to all members of our local community from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm - our five-star accredited café provides a healthy daily selection of hot and cold fresh homemade meals to eat-in or take away. Why not enjoy a spot of lunch while working or having a browse on the internet with our free Wi-Fi? Special offers and discounts run at half-term and during the summer holidays to provide every family with the opportunity to be socially included.
• Friendship Friday - Bring a friend with you for lunch and get one of your meals free!
• School Holiday Special - One child eats free with every paying adult
• Senior Citizens Lunch - Our daily special is just £3 for senior citizens

Community events

From bucket collections and bag-packing to fundraising for Winston's wish, we pride ourselves on supporting community events. We also regularly hold events for friends of young carers to come and enjoy a themed party and games free of charge!

Volunteering

We appreciate all of those who are involved in making our community a better place, and welcome your interest in getting involved with the work that we do. To tell us you would like to be considered for future opportunities, please contact us on 01942 418 830. Alternatively, pop into one of our branches.
