Compassion in Action remembers our fallen heroes

Compassion in Action, together with leading care provider Cherish UK, observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of our fallen heroes on Wednesday, 11 November.

At a time when our community cannot gather in person, we invite you to reflect independently upon the words of our inspiring young cadets who, on the 75th anniversary of D-Day, paid tribute to the borough’s veterans with this moving poem of thanks:

There are not words big enough,

There is not a hug strong enough,

There is not a smile wide enough,

All we can offer is ‘thank you’.

Compassion in Action’s Veterans Group are in our hearts and minds always, but especially on Remembrance Day. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
